Dr. Jart is an interesting brand to me and I am sure many others feel the same way. For this reason I want to share everything I have found out about the brand.
The Story Behind Dr. Jart
Dr. Jart was created by Leeo (Chin Wook) Lee in Seoul, the year 2005. Leeo was working as an experienced architect when he was first introduced to a blemish covering balm. This balm was only available in dermatology clinics at the time.
He became inspired by the blemish covering balm’s multifunctionality and began collaborating with different labs to create a powerful skin care product. This product was created to blend together both the benefits of skincare and foundation coverage.
Named today the BB Cream, this product became an instant hit in the beauty industry in Korea. It completely transformed the idea of skincare, and Leeo didn’t stop there.
The dream was to create derma skincare that combines the most up-to-date ingredients and technology, turning them into life-enhancing formulas. Dr. Jart was successful and can be found in over 40 countries today.
Fun Brand Homepage
My favorite part about Dr. Jart is the product pictures. They are all so fun and quirky, each has a different vibe going on. The photoshoots were well done and immediately piqued my interest.
The photos on the Dr. Jart homepage are different from the other brands. The brand photo compositions remind me of cute lab experiments. The homepage is very aesthetically pleasing to look at and that is very important to me.
Can Shop By Different Categories
One thing I always take a look at is how easy it is to navigate and find the products you need. Dr. Jart’s web page lists everything I need under the categories. There are so many categories to choose from: skin concern, product type, skincare collection, etc.
I don’t have to do any extra work or research to find what I want from Dr. Jart. I usually shop by skin concern since I know my skin type and that makes everything easier. This is another reason to love Dr. Jart.
Dr. Jart even lists all the products that are $25 and under! From there you can even find skincare sets and gift ideas, which is surreal to me. I can’t believe that these sets are so inexpensive.
Interesting Product Designs
Dr. Jart offers so many different, colorful and unique products that make skincare more fun than ever. Each product differs from the others and that’s what makes this brand so interesting.
I want to try out all the Dr. Jart products just because of the way they look and present themselves on their product page. I’m like a little kid, excited to try out a new toy. I’ve never come across such product designs.
The colors Dr. Jart uses are absolutely vibrant and really make the items pop. This is something I rarely see when it comes to skincare. Most companies go for a more classy, basic look, which I don’t mind, but nothing beats these colorful designs.
Filterspace and Filtering
The most important part of Dr. Jart is Filterspace, which is a location for exhibitions, workshops. Filterspace carries the belief that everything we produce is just as important as what we keep out.
Dr. Jart is heavy on filtering and this can be seen by the company building. Interestingly enough, their building looks like a gigantic filtration system. This is how they make the filter concept come to life.
In the company building, there is a lab-like area, where guests can test out various interactive filters like a purified water bar, air shower, and many more.
Interactive Art Projects
Dr. Jart uses Filterspace equipment to bring their products to life in a playful manner. These Filterspace installations are interactive, evolving, and experiential. Multiple art projects of this kind can be seen on their product page, all of them having their own unique signature look.
