Gel Cream Without a Scent
The Klairs All-day Airy Sunscreen comes in a white tube with a light yellow cap. This sunscreen has an interesting watery gel consistency. There is no artificial Fragrance or scent to this so it doesn’t smell like anything.
Moisturizing and Gentle
Whenever I apply this sunscreen, I don’t need to apply moisturizer beforehand, which is great. But I do love prepping my skin with a toner beforehand, and for that, I use the Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner. It makes my skin feel hydrated and smooth, which works perfectly as a base.
The Klairs All-day Airy Sunscreen feels super refreshing and moisturizing. I love the texture and how well it blends into my skin. While it seems like a product that doesn’t absorb easily, it actually sinks into my skin pretty fast. It does leave a slight glow on my skin but doesn’t feel as tacky as I imagined it would.
And the most important part about this sunscreen – it doesn’t leave a white cast!
Made for Dry Skin
I would recommend it more for dry skin types since it can cause clogged pores for those with oily skin. Yes, it feels quite lightweight but it still has a little bit of an oily finish. It’s not going to feel lightweight if you struggle with excess sebum.
The Klairs All-day Airy Sunscreen works beautifully on my boyfriend’s dry skin and feels lightweight in his opinion. This is how I know my skin is just not meant for this sun cream and that’s okay since not every skincare product is going to work for everybody.
While I love the texture and overall feel of this sunscreen, it does add too much shine to my skin. I especially can’t wear this in the Summer since it feels too heavy and clogs my pores thanks to this. It might be a good idea to try it out during Winter.
Long-Lasting Sun Protection
The couple of times I did wear it out, I noticed it provided great protection from the Sun. It’s long-lasting and doesn’t wash off easily with water. But since it becomes tacky very fast and makes me look shiny, I personally can’t wear it every day.
My boyfriend kept using the Klairs All-day Airy Sunscreen and he loved it. It provided him with the perfect amount of protection from the UV rays while also keeping his dry areas moisturized. It’s perfect for his skin type and stays on all day long.
Another great skincare product for Summer is the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop Serum. The serum feels really lightweight and helps freshen up the skin, which is perfect for achieving that summertime glow! Vitamin C is known for helping with hyperpigmentation as well.
Great Sunscreen but Not for Me
Overall, the Klairs All-day Airy Sunscreen is definitely more on the expensive side but the price makes sense thanks to the good quality and great ingredients. It has a great consistency that feels much better than most sunscreens and is perfect to combat dryness.
While this cream is advertised as super lightweight and non-oily, this only applies to dry or normal skin types. I made the critical mistake of assuming my own oily skin would have the same experience. Now I know that I should have read the reviews from oily skin types.
The only time I would use this is during Winter maybe if my skin becomes dry. It’s definitely not the right product for my skin type during Summer. I need something lighter and less oily, which is sad because I really imagined this sunscreen would be perfect.
