The design of the Missha Safe Block Essence Sun Milk reminds me of a deodorant stick. It’s white and has a smooth, pastel-green twist cap. It has a very simple design so I wouldn’t have thought this was a sunscreen of any sort. This sun milk does not smell like sunscreen in the slightest.
After twisting the cap open, I noticed a floral scent. The scent is quite strong and I can see how it can be an issue for some. After applying the sun milk onto my hand and waiting for a couple of minutes, the scent perished. I have had trouble with stronger fragrances beforehand but this one is alright.
Serum-Like Consistency
The Missha All-Around Safe Block Essence Sun Milk has an interesting texture. It has a creamy consistency that feels very lightweight, and that makes it easy to apply or spread. I honestly think it’s similar to a serum without the stickiness. This sunscreen has no greasiness to it whatsoever!
As I rub the sun milk into my skin, it immediately starts sinking in. It absorbs fast and dries down into a nice matte finish, almost like a primer. You won’t even feel this sunscreen on your skin, it’s that lightweight. I didn’t notice any white cast on my fair skin and it didn’t make me look gray.
The Missha All-Around Sun Milk does not give my skin the needed amount of hydration, so I always go in with a moisturizer beforehand. This sunscreen does not irritate my skin in the slightest. I do need to add, however, that the fragrance did irritate my eyes a little bit.

The Missha Safe Block Essence Sun Milk melts into my skin without leaving any additional shine or oiliness. I personally have trouble with excess sebum and can’t use products that add any extra oil to my skin. It does however give me a subtle natural glow, which I do appreciate.
I wear makeup daily and that means I need a sunscreen that can sit under my makeup and not pill. This sun essence is perfect for that. I had no issues with my makeup and the sunscreen not working well together. My makeup actually never gets cakey and doesn’t develop cracks.

The Missha All-Around Safe Block Essence Sun Milk’s protection is exactly as advertised. I never had any problems with burning in the sun. I love that the protection you get is pretty long-lasting. It really prevents you from being sunburnt without feeling like sunscreen.
My favorite part about this sun essence is that it doesn’t smell or feel like your typical sunscreen. I personally do not enjoy the smell of conventional sunscreen or its texture of it. This is exactly why I got this Missha sun milk and was so excited to use it.
