I love trying out new cleansing products in the name of beauty. Then I Met You Soothing Tea Cleansing Gel was recommended to me by my friend so I decided to do a review. Jelly-Textured With a Herbal Scent
The Then I Met You Soothing Tea Cleansing Gel comes in a purple-toned baby blue tube. I like the design since it reminds me of the brand and I can tell it’s one of their products. It’s simple but still makes an effort to be original. And the gel itself is an orange honey color, reminding me of actual honey.
This cleanser has a very unique gel-like texture, which makes it feel like jelly. The scent is also interesting because it smells herbal and citrusy, which reminds me of Gray Tea. I would say the scent is quite strong but not overpowering at all. And I personally love calming holistic scents so it’s perfect for me!
Gently Removes All Residue
The Then I Met You Soothing Tea Cleanser is easy to lather and spreads easily across the face, especially once you add some water. This gel cleans my face gently and efficiently so I never feel like it strips my skin from its natural oils. It removes every bit of dirt, oil, and makeup residue from my face.
This cleansing gel feels really refreshing and soothing on my skin. Some areas on my skin feel a little bit dry but that makes sense thanks to my reoccurring dry patches. Thankfully I can always follow up with a good moisturizer and my personal favorite is the Then I Met You Tide Gel Cream.
I wish the Then I Met You Soothing Tea Cleansing Gel was a little bit more moisturizing but I know that’s my personal preference with cleansers. Even though it can dry my skin, it has never disturbed the skin barrier. My skin never feels tight or uncomfortable and doesn’t get red.
Refreshing Daytime Cleanser
Since the Then I Met You Soothing Tea Cleansing Gel removes everything from my face, I always feel squeaky clean. While this cleanser dried out my skin the first couple of times I used it, the dryness went away. I think it’s because my skin needed some time to adjust to a new cleansing product.
You can feel a difference right after cleansing, which is perfect. And my skin has been doing great since I started using this! It makes my skin feel soft and smooth after each use. I always look refreshed and this makes it a great daytime cleanser. My skin is a lot brighter and has a beautiful pearly glow.
I would definitely use the Soothing Tea Cleansing Gel during summer. It just feels like a lightweight summertime cleanser to me. But during Winter I like to add the Then I Met You Giving Essence to my routine for a more hydrated look. It keeps me moisturized all day long!
Noticeable Skin Change
The Then I Met You Tea Cleansing Gel has made a noticeable impact on my skin and its appearance. It helps a lot with skin texture since my skin is now smoother and softer to the touch. My skin is blemish-free and happy and it makes my skin look more even-toned with less redness.
I feel like this gel balances my skin so my oily areas are kept in check and my skin doesn’t feel overly dry. And this is why it’s perfect for my combination skin! I think it’s great for most skin types but maybe not chronic dry skin. The tube lasts a very long time since you only need a drop of product.
I recommend the Then I Met You Soothing Tea Cleansing Gel to everyone who needs a cleanser that gently removes impurities. It is a little bit more expensive than your average cleanser but I can see why.
